About Our Team

SkilledSuite is a Brisbane-based HR consultancy and recruitment firm specialising in on-demand HR support for small to medium enterprises. The firm recognises the challenges business owners face, particularly in managing and growing their teams. Unlike typical consultants who offer theoretical advice, SkilledSuite takes a hands-on approach, deeply immersing themselves in their clients’ businesses to provide practical, results-driven solutions. The team, including Hugh Reardon, and Connel Faulkner, is dedicated to ensuring real action is taken to address challenges, with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes. With a deep understanding of the business landscape, they help clients navigate obstacles and grow effectively.

After many years working across recruitment and in-house Human Resources roles, Connel discovered that the challenges with finding the right staff extend far beyond interviews and job offers. That is what encouraged Connel to launch SkilledSuite, a new kind of agency that went deeper into the staffing needs of Queensland businesses. High-touch, personalised and flexible to make sure the conditions were right on both sides of the equation, so the real needs of company and employee could be met effectively.

Hugh Reardon

When starting and growing businesses, the same challenges keep rearing their ugly heads.

That’s what Hugh has learnt through his decades as an entrepreneur, having built successful businesses in the manufacturing, technology, transportation and agriculture industries. So many of those challenges come down to the management, hiring – and firing – of personnel at all levels of the operation.

With over 160 staff at his last venture and tens of millions in revenue, he should know. It was also clear that the right kind of help was hard to come by. Finding himself tapped out with endless, grinding work days, Hugh was searching for external support who could help with the root cause of these issues.
